Star-fold card

1021

Never used that much yellow in.. anything, but I kinda like how purple and yellow go so nicely together and the Mariposa paper pad is just gorgeous.

Here’s how to do this intriguing star-fold card.

You need a 12″x12″ sheet of paper and 2 more pieces for matting the card.

Measure and trim a triangle with 12″ edges. Score each edge at 4″, 6″ and 8″ and accordion fold as in the pictures. If using a score board align one edge to the left border of the score board and score at 5 1/4″ and 6 7/8″ (check out the video to see how to score it -> link below).

When closing the card, fold one side, than the next one on top of that and the third one on top and under just like forming a box.

*** Measurements are really really important, because if the 3 triangles don’t fold perfectly on top of each other, you’ll not going to be able to close it properly. You can either fold it by hand or using the score board, as long as everything folds nicely.

Matt the centre of the card with a triangle with 5 1/2″ sides.

Matt the 3 flaps using triangles with 3 1/2″ sides.
